Hi I'm Cheryl Ladds founder of Fine Feathers Design.
I create exquisite game bird feather brooches, hat pins, and bespoke headwear, all crafted with care in the heart of the Scottish Borders.
Inspired by the natural beauty of my surroundings, I give new life to feathers and fabrics, transforming them into timeless accessories.
My story began with a simple yet meaningful gift - a feather brooch I made for my mother-in-law.
That small act of creativity soon grew into a passion for sustainable craftsmanship, and Fine Feathers was born.
Today, I continue to honour that ethos by sourcing materials responsibly, up-cycling charity shop finds, and handcrafting each piece with attention to detail.
I use locally sourced feathers from game shoots in the Scottish Borders, ensuring that each creation is both ethical and unique.
